    Upgrades under Block 30/35, the $1.32 billion Radar System Improvement Program, and Block 40/45 (E-3G) enhanced computing, surveillance, and cockpit avionics. Despite these improvements, the airframes average more than 30 years in service, and sustainment challenges persist due to aging structures and engines no longer in production.
