The modern internet has a problem. Hidden disclosures. Unreadable terms of service. Vague legal language. Platforms that leave users wondering whether they’re valued as people — or simply metrics on a dashboard. At Uncrowned Empire, we don’t want to be part of that problem. Today, we’re announcing a new long-term initiative: a growing collection of Ethics & Standards articles that will define how we operate, how we treat our staff, and how we engage with our community. These aren’t just statements. They are commitments — and in some cases, they will require us to change how we currently do things. At the end of the day, our goal is simple: Every user should feel welcome, informed, involved, and respected. 👥 Ethics for Staff & Contracted Work One of the first areas we’re addressing is something rarely discussed publicly: how platforms treat their own people. We are building a system where: Staff and contracted contributors can see each other’s terms and roles Compensation structures are transparent and comparable There is a space for open discussion between paid contributors and staff We’re done with unclear or inconsistent arrangements. No more guessing if someone is being treated fairly. No more hidden deals. A Key Change Going Forward We are also addressing a long-standing issue: In the past, certain paid services (such as external contributors) could end up earning more than our own paid staff. That ends now. Going forward, our staff will always receive compensation at or above the highest-paid external service contributor, when payments are applicable. Our staff are the foundation of everything we build — and they will be treated that way. 🌱 A New Path: From Member to Staff We are also changing how we build our team. We will no longer actively recruit external staff All future staff will come from within our community We are introducing a clearer progression path: Member → Community Staff → Paid Staff A new Community Staff role will serve as the standard entry point — a volunteer position focused on moderation, engagement, and community support. The goal is simple: Our staff should be people who already care about the community they’re helping build. 📰 Ethics of Journalism & News Editing We are also formalizing our approach to content. Our upcoming Ethics of Journalism and News Editing will define: How we source and credit information How we approach ethical writing and transparency What it means to operate as a responsible editorial platform One key point we want to make clear: We are editors, not journalists. We curate, analyze, and present information — and we believe being honest about that distinction matters. Transparency in AI Use We’ve already taken steps in this direction with our AI Usage Notice, where we openly disclose when AI tools are used in writing or editing. In a world where AI is often hidden or denied, we’re taking the opposite approach: If AI was used, we’ll tell you. Not because we have to — but because you deserve to know. 🤖 Ethics of AI Use in Our Community AI is here — and it’s not going away. We are not interested in banning AI outright. But we are very interested in how it is used, especially by staff. Our upcoming guidelines will focus on one core principle: If a staff member is engaging with the community, a real human should be behind it. This means: ❌ No automated AI posting by staff ❌ No AI-driven replies pretending to be human interaction ❌ No unattended accounts engaging with users But: ✅ AI can be used for grammar, clarity, and drafting support ✅ Standard automation (like welcome messages or support acknowledgments) remains acceptable We want a human community — and we believe our users deserve real human interaction in return. 🔍 Looking Ahead These are just the first steps. We are also exploring: Ethics and transparency standards for social media content, where AI may be used differently Additional policies as new technologies emerge All of this will come together into a living Ethics & Standards page — one that grows and evolves over time. ❤️ Our Commitment We’re not perfect. We’re still small. And we’re still learning. But we are committed to doing this the right way — even if it means more work, slower growth, or rethinking how things have always been done. Because in the end, this isn’t just about building websites. It’s about building something people can trust. — The Uncrowned Empire Team Read on Uncrowned Empire

Uncrowned Addiction just launched a new Debate of the Month, and it tackles a topic that doesn’t get nearly enough public attention: Are gang databases a necessary law enforcement tool, or have they become an unregulated social scoring system? The debate looks at how some gang databases use criteria like associations, social media activity, clothing, neighborhood ties, or point-based verification systems to label people as gang-affiliated — often without a conviction. Supporters argue these databases help law enforcement track violent groups and prevent crime. Critics argue they can function like guilt-by-association lists with serious consequences for privacy, due process, and civil liberties. The discussion covers: Whether gang databases are effective public safety tools How point-based or criteria-based systems can resemble social scoring The risks of weak oversight, vague standards, and false labeling Whether reform is enough, or if the concept itself is fundamentally flawed How these labels can impact policing, courts, and even immigration outcomes We’re keeping the discussion informational, balanced, and open to both sides. 👉 Join the debate here: Uncrowned Addiction – Debate of the Month: Gang Databases Curious to hear how others see it, especially on where the line should be drawn between intelligence gathering and government overreach. If you’ve been browsing our sites lately, you may have noticed that our community calendars are getting a serious upgrade. We’ve been quietly expanding and refining how we handle events across the Uncrowned network — and it’s time to officially talk about it. 🌎 Major Industry Events Are Now Being Added Across our platforms, we are actively adding major events relevant to each site, including: 🎮 Gaming conventions and expos 🕹️ Potential return of select esports events 💻 Tech conferences and industry showcases 🛡️ Defense and military trade shows 🎌 Anime conventions and fan events Our goal is simple: if it matters to our communities, it should live on our calendars. 🎨 Hand-Crafted Holidays (With Style) We’ve also begun manually adding major holidays to our calendars. Why manually? Because we want them to look good. Instead of generic imports, we’re designing events with custom feature images and thoughtful formatting to ensure the calendar feels cohesive, polished, and worth browsing. Presentation matters — even for a holiday reminder. 🎮 Esports Events (Yes… We’re Trying Again) Uncrowned Gaming is revisiting the idea of adding esports events back into the calendar. In the past, this was incredibly frustrating. Many organizers (looking at you, certain Halo events 👀) would announce start times late — or worse, only post the stream link once the event had already begun. That made it nearly impossible to provide useful advance listings. We’re cautiously exploring this again, with the hope that event transparency and scheduling improve. No promises yet — but we’re watching closely. 📍 Find Events Near You All events use our built-in Events system, which means: If you allow browser location permissions, you can find events near you. You can also manually search by location. Everything is structured cleanly within the site — no cluttered third-party embeds. ⏳ Looking Ahead Right now, we’re maintaining events roughly two months in advance. That keeps the calendar active and current without overextending our resources. Long term, we’d love to expand this window further and refine how we categorize and surface upcoming events. 🧭 Why This Matters Our community calendars aren’t filler content. They’re part of building a connected ecosystem — helping you: Discover events relevant to your interests Stay informed about major industry moments Engage with the broader communities that overlap with ours We’re committed to making these calendars useful, clean, and consistently improving. More updates to come — and as always, thank you for being part of the Uncrowned Empire. Read on Uncrowned Empire

Another month, another surge of discussion across the community. If you’ve been busy, here’s what you missed — and where you can jump back in. IN THE NEWS Official Footage Confirms TOS-3 Drakon Combat Use in Ukraine - Russian MoD footage (4 Feb 2026) confirmed the TOS-3 Drakon’s combat debut in Ukraine—fielded by the 29th Separate RChB Brigade and shown destroying a Ukrainian stronghold—featuring protective mesh, Volnorez EW and upgraded digital fire-control and communications. The Drakon continues the TOS lineage—from Soviet TOS-1 Buratino through TOS-1A and wheeled TOS-2—by using a tracked, ~40–42 t chassis with 15 larger 220 mm tubes for extended-range rockets (est. 15+ km), trading launcher count for greater propellant and reach. Armed with thermobaric munitions that produce aerosol-cloud blast effects against fortifications, light armor and personnel, the TOS-3’s digital integration and counter-UAS/EW measures reflect a shift toward longer standoff engagements and improved survivability. FAA Ground Stop at El Paso for 10 Days Includes Deadly Force Warning - FAA ordered a 10‑day ground stop at El Paso International Airport and surrounding airspace (including Santa Teresa, NM) from Feb. 10–20 for “special security reasons,” halting commercial, cargo, and general aviation and warning the U.S. government may use deadly force against violators. Officials gave no details; the airport urged travelers to contact airlines as experts—citing nearby Fort Bliss—speculate about a national security event, high‑level visit, or military activity while authorities remain silent. US Approves Multibillion Arms Sales to Israel and Saudi Amid Iran Tensions - U.S. approved multibillion-dollar arms sales—about $5.6B to Israel for 30 AH‑64 Apaches and Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, and $9B to Saudi Arabia for 730 Patriot interceptor missiles—citing national‑security interests as tensions with Iran rise and U.S. forces surge in the region. The moves aim to bolster Israeli and Saudi defenses and preserve strategic partnerships even as prospects for Saudi‑Israel normalization dim and the conflict cycle that began with Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack. IN THE NEWS UK Xbox Age Verification Disrupts Games and Chat Amid Online Safety Act Rollout - Mandatory age-verification enforcement on UK Xbox accounts has been kicking players out of games, blocking voice chat and apps like Discord, and preventing privacy changes as phone, ID and live‑video checks fail or stall; Microsoft says it’s aware and working on a fix with no timeline, and similar compliance moves are expected across the industry under the Online Safety Act. Valve Delays Pricing and Dates for Steam Hardware Amid Supply Issues - Valve still plans Steam Controller, Steam Machine and Steam Frame for H1 but won’t announce firm prices or dates yet due to memory/storage shortages and rising component costs; updates will come closer to launch. Valve will keep supporting existing hardware like the Index. Steam Frame is modular with a built‑in theatrical browser, limited dev kits, system‑level foveated streaming that works for all games (and can complement foveated rendering), potential prescription lens inserts, and no current Lighthouse support. Steam Machine targets many titles at 4K/60 with FSR (with heavier upscaling or lower framerates for demanding games), will add HDMI VRR/upscaling/ray‑tracing improvements, and supports NVMe/DDR5 upgrades plus third‑party faceplates; the new Steam Controller will handle non‑Steam games compatible with the Steam Overlay. Total War WARHAMMER III Patch 7.1 Fixes Campaign Crashes, Faction Bugs, and Balance - Patch 7.1 for Total War: WARHAMMER III prioritizes campaign stability and exploits fixes—resolving multiple crashes, save/load movement abuse, UI/tech/region-effect bugs, and a wide array of faction-specific issues (notably Beastmen, High Elves, Norsca, Slaanesh, and others). Multiplayer and custom-battle changes mainly rebalance Slaanesh (costs, stats, ability tweaks) with select roster/cost adjustments elsewhere, while extensive battle, AI, targeting, mount, animation, UI and tooltip polish improves reliability and presentation across the game. IN THE NEWS Oxford Study Finds AI Chatbots Unreliable for Public Medical Advice - Randomized Oxford study of 1,298 UK adults found that GPT-4o, Llama 3 and Command R+ score well on medical benchmarks but, when used by laypeople, did not improve—and often worsened—patients’ ability to identify conditions or the right level of care compared with ordinary internet research; interactive use amplified errors due to incomplete user prompts, misleading revisions, geographic or inconsistent advice, and hallucinations, so authors warn LLMs aren’t ready to give direct medical advice and should be limited to supportive tasks (transcription, summaries) until systematic human-centered testing is done. Coinbase Launches Agentic Wallets on Base to Power Autonomous AI Payments - Coinbase launched Agentic Wallets — a purpose-built wallet on Base that lets AI agents autonomously transact while integrating with Coinbase custody and compliance rather than acting as an SDK. Private keys are isolated in TEEs and accessed via local session keys and email OTPs, with spending caps, per-transaction limits, enclave isolation and KYT screening to reduce agent-related risks (keys are exportable but not exposed to agent logic). Built on the x402 machine-to-machine payments protocol (50M+ transactions), the wallets support USDC, token swaps and gasless trading and are aimed at CLI-savvy developers via a utility (npx awal). Coinbase pitches the product for autonomous DeFi, API payments, creator-economy flows and multi-chain expansion while acknowledging no sandbox is risk-free. Russia Blocks WhatsApp for 100M Users, Restricts Telegram, Pushes Max - Russia has fully blocked WhatsApp—impacting over 100 million users—and is restricting Telegram pending compliance, with Kremlin officials saying restoration depends on cooperation; the moves support a push to replace foreign messengers with Max, a state “super app” preinstalled and mandated for public-sector users that lacks end‑to‑end encryption, prompting critics to warn that centralized infrastructure creates surveillance and censorship risks and underscoring calls for truly decentralized, privacy-preserving alternatives. Hey everyone! You might have noticed a bit of a slowdown in our article output lately — and no, we haven’t lost our keyboard shortcuts. 😉 We’re currently updating our entire news article system, and while that means a temporary dip in activity, it's all for an excellent cause. So, what’s going on? We’re revamping the way we publish content across Uncrowned Empire and all our network sites to: ⚙️ Improve efficiency behind the scenes 📰 Boost article quality with cleaner formatting, better tagging, and tighter editorial workflow 🔓 Increase openness around how we create, publish, and promote our content 🎥 Support future Content Creator roles with a system designed for collaboration 📢 Supercharge our social media output to get our best stories in front of more eyes This update is part of our broader mission to ensure that when we do publish, it’s with purpose, clarity, and value. We're proud to share another step in our mission to build a cleaner, more community-focused web: affiliate link generation has now been disabled for registered users across all Uncrowned Empire sites. 🧾 What This Means: ✅ Only visitors (non-logged-in users) will see standard links converted into affiliate links. ✅ Registered users will no longer see: Affiliate link tracking (via Sovrn Commerce) AdSense advertisements Third-party ad scripts or tracking ✅ User-submitted affiliate links are untouched. If you share a valid affiliate link yourself, it will remain intact and unaltered. ✅ Hard-coded affiliate links are also not affected by this change, as they are simply posted as links, and we have no reason to try to remove user-posted links. Why Are We Doing This? We're committed to giving our registered community the experience they deserve — one without trackers, popups, or clutter. This builds on our earlier move to disable AdSense ads for all logged-in users, and it's part of our larger belief that a logged-in member shouldn't be treated like a product. You’re part of our community, and that matters more than clicks. But Don’t Worry — We’re Still Supporting the Empire This update simply shifts monetization efforts to visitors who aren’t logged in. It allows us to maintain a baseline of support while giving our active members a cleaner, privacy-first experience. If you're passionate about what we're doing and want to go the extra mile, we’re always open to Supporter memberships, volunteering, and sharing our content. Thank you for being part of this experiment in doing the web differently. No paywalls. No clickbait. Just community. — The Uncrowned Empire Team Read on Uncrowned Empire

Multiple Sizes Available → View max-resolution, SD, HQ, MQ, or default versions. Direct URL & Download → Copy the image URL for embeds or download the JPG straight to your device. We’re excited to roll out a brand-new addition to our media tools: the YouTube Ad-Free Playlist Player! This tool lets you paste any YouTube playlist link (or even just the playlist ID) and play it back in a clean, continuous player right here on Uncrowned Addiction. It works for music mixes, educational series, or binge-worthy video collections. ✨ Key Features Ad-Free Playback (via YouTube embed) → Ads are handled entirely by YouTube’s official embed player. We don’t block ads — we simply rely on how YouTube serves content through embeds, which often results in a cleaner experience. Simple Setup → Just paste your playlist link or ID, hit Play Playlist, and you’re good to go. Seamless Viewing → Enjoy your videos without jumping back and forth to YouTube’s interface. Mobile & Desktop Ready → Fully responsive and works across devices. 🔧 How It Works Copy a playlist link from YouTube (example: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=YOUR_ID_HERE). Paste it into the input box on the tool page. Click Play Playlist and enjoy! 👉 Try it now: YouTube Ad-Free Playlist Player We think this will be a great companion to our YouTube Looper and Embed Creator tools, giving you even more flexibility in how you watch and share content. Give it a spin and let us know what you think — feedback is always welcome! — The Uncrowned Addiction Team Read on Uncrowned Empire
